Traditional stone built terraced cottage in the village of Backbarrow just within the Lake District National Park, two miles from south of Lake Windermere. Solid fuel central heating. Parking for up to two cars. Views over the Leven valley to the Lakeside and Haverthwaite railway. Good access for main attractions, walking and sightseeing.

Ground Floor - Bedroom with double bed, toilet and shower room, utility room containing freezer (limited space available), tumble dryer and spin dryer.

1st Floor - Open plan lounge, dining room and kitchen area including colour TV and Video, C.D. player, fridge, electric cooker, microwave, toaster and water heater.

2nd Floor - Bedroom with double bed, bedroom with 2 single beds, Bathroom with toilet and bath.

Duvets pillows and blankets included.
Please Note - sheets, pillowcases and towels not provided.

Also available - camp bed, barbecue and some indoor games.

Well equipped and comfortable.

Sorry no pets and no smoking.

Available All year to Church members.

Charges £200pw (negotiable per night.)

Travel Directions

Leave the M6 north at junction 36 and take the A591, left, to Windermere, Kendal and Barrow.
After approx. 3 miles take A590 filter left signed to Windermere, Newby Bridge and Barrow, turning left at roundabout.
Continue along A590, approx. 6 miles, past Little Chef to roundabout, turn right,
signed Newby Bridge etc.
Continue along main road, approx. 6 miles, through villages, past Newby Bridge services to roundabout.
At roundabout go straight ahead, after short stretch of dual carriageway take left turning signed Brow Edge and Bigland Hall. (Brow Edge Road).
The road rises slightly and after a row of terraced cottages on left (Low Row) take left turn, which doubles back on itself.
Kestrel is just after the archway on the right.
