AGONAC is a working village with a chateau, medieval walled "bourg" and a square. There are two "alimentations", a butcher, baker, post office, Maison du Presse, a doctor, dentist and a pharmacy as well as three bars. The very pretty town of Brantome is only a few miles away and has a weekly Friday market that should not be missed. The cathedral city of Perigueux is again only a short drive and has more sophisticated shops and restaurants. Lascaux, Bergerac and the Dordogne valley are all within an hour and a half's drive.

Cost - £135 per week. This is irrespective of the number of persons. The cooking stove has a gas bottle which we ask visitors to replace as necessary. There are duvets and blankets but we ask visitors to provide their own sheets, pillow cases and towels. We also ask that the house is left clean and tidy for the next people in.

The house is ideal for two but would stretch to three depending on the need for privacy.
